Marionne is an Australian Artist of Dutch parentage who is currently based in Townsville QLD. She previously resided in The Macedon Ranges, VIC and on the beautiful Central Coast, NSW. Many years were also spent in regional NSW, Tamworth, Narrabri and Armidale with associations in SA.

Trained in Economics and previously a Mathematics educator, Marionne’s return to her creative pursuits have seen her undertake art studies and practice in the TAFE system and with artists including Judith White and Denis Clarke. This has resulted in diverse use of medium and technique.

Drawing continues to be a strong feature in Marionne’s art practice. Equally at home with portraiture, abstracts or landscapes, Marionne primarily uses acrylics and mixed media. Other materials used by Marionne include collage and diverse mediums such as ink, watercolour and oil stick, graphite, charcoal, pastel and paint.
